Trying to figure out which plug adapter you need for international travel? You’re not alone. Plug types, voltage differences, and converter confusion trip up a lot of travelers, especially when you’re visiting multiple countries or traveling from a country with different outlet types and voltage standards.
This page is where I’m gathering all of my travel plug and voltage guides by country so you can quickly find the one you need. These guides are designed to help travelers coming from different countries understand what adapter they need, whether their devices are likely to work safely, and when a simple adapter is enough versus when voltage matters too.

Do You Need a Plug Adapter or a Voltage Converter?
A plug adapter changes the shape of your plug so it fits into the wall outlet. A voltage converter changes the electrical voltage going into your device.
Many modern electronics like phones, tablets, and laptops are dual voltage, which means they usually only need the correct adapter. Some devices, especially certain hair tools and older appliances, may not be dual voltage and can be damaged if used incorrectly.
Because travelers are coming from different countries with different plug shapes and voltage standards, the right answer is not always the same for everyone. That’s why each guide is meant to help you quickly understand what matters before you plug anything in.
